i have noticed that my head pipe on my full system white bros. e-series, has turned like a burt blue right out of the manifold for about six inches. Am i running to lean, or to rich, or am i just running to hot.

Most all pipes will turn blue like that.

I have an LRD ceramic coated header which doesn't blue. Anything that is ceramic coated will not blue. I used to have a white bros. header on my old 250x which did the same thing.

It's just from the pipes getting hot and cold over and over again. Eventually it will cause the blue color. Look at alot of the air-cooled street bikes (Harleys and most import V-twins). Their pipes are typically blued if they have the stock pipes on. Aftermarket pipe manufacturers use a double wall system so that if the inner pipe gets blue, the outer pipe keeps it's nice chrome finish.

Mine is nasty looking all the way back to the silencer it's off the quad right now so it would be a good time to clean it, ANY IDEAS???

Go to an auto parts store and look at metal poslishes you'll find something.

I used this stuff.. forget the name... but it was just some sort of fiber isulation.. must of had something on it... but it did a decent job. I got it at Autoworks.
