is it a torque monster? I want something like the predator that only seems to be strong in mid to top end. Is the 450 like this?

Yes it has alot of torque, but it is very manageable. I rode mine for the first time yesterday and what a suprise. This thing would tear my 250r apart. I wouldn't kid yourself about the Predator, remember just last year it was the quad to have. Personally I prefer the r and Pred over the other new quads out. Hope this helps.

well i went out and bought a 450R today. Its awesome. I love the power and the smoothness. For some reason, it seems to hook up and get a little too much traction though. Maybe adjusting air presure and the suspension might change that.

It's the stock radial rears. They're just like the raptor tires and all they want to do is hook up. First thing I did was replace them. I'll keep them for the snow and mud but for everything else I'll use my Klaws.
