Stock bore piston

I have a 2004 400ex w/ about 100 hours on it. Can I swap my piston for a higher compression piston without too much trouble? Do I need to hone the cylinder or can I just swap them out? What is the highest compression I should use without beffing up the rest of the motor?

You have to have the cylinder honed in order for the rings to properly seat. Should stay at or below 11:1 compression to run on pumped gas.

check out the post silverfox made. if she can get 20 buyers, she is giving out a prettty good deal. the piston will only benefit the power.
