Sorry but an HMF exhaust question!

I know its been on here time and time again! I have done a search though and can't find an answer to my question! Will an HMF slip-on with quiet core pass a 98db sound test ?

someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure they peak 93-94 dB with the quiet core.

yeah I'd guess thats about right, with no quiet core someone posted its 108db.-darren

Thanx guys! Is there anyone else with some input as well though ? Maybe someone who has recently tested theres! I personally dont care about sound but Oregons National Forest Laws do.....and i don't like tickets so :p

There are several things that determine the db's. A few are:

1) How far away it is tested from the exhaust.
2) If you're indoors, or outdoors.
3) If there is trees, open space or what is surrounding your testing area.

You should have put this in the HMF section so that HMFer could answer.

There's no definite answer to your question sorry.

if your worried about noise....get a wb e-series. Just don't ride hard and it shouldn't fall apart;)

I think i will try the HMF Forum i totally forgot about it! HMF sounds awesome so i am leaning towards that!

The more I read about them...the more I become to like them. I wish I would have read more about them before I got my gay Wb e-series. It has been nothing but a pain. Oh well, new HMF for my b-day on the 28th:cool:

best pipe ive ever used. cept my end cap fell off the first race i went to but i found it and put bolts in it. but thats no big deal at all. best pipe made i think.
