what do u mean when u say no air box lid??? what does it do when u remove it and what do u do just leave it wide open?? i'm confused with this no air box thin. could someone fill me in??

Removing the airbox lid or top allows more air to flow into the carb. Of course it also allows water and trash to enter easier too. Thats why some folks cut holes in the tops or use the outerwares on the top of the airbox in place of the lid. I haven't done anything to mine yet, but folks say its a big increase of power. You'll probably need to jet up to compensate for the add'l air flow. More air flow requires more gas. There are plenty of threads that have suggestion of jet sizing. The search button works great for finding the old threads with good info!
Of course, running the box without the lid or wide open allows full air flow and the most power... I guess. It also leaves the filter susceptable to water splashing from the rear tires. It is also pretty noisy too for the rider.
