I have did searchs so dont even say use the search button. I bought a rpm axle for a 250r and i have a 400ex i have read you need to use 250r hubs but is it due to width issues or is it a spline issue!

some one knows the answer!:)
I'm pretty sure it's the splines, better wait for another more reliable source though:p

I know with the Durablue axle it's because of the splines. When I had my 400 I ran a 250R Durablue +2+2 and all I had to was get the hubs with it. It works great too...Later

its a spline issue, the r has a bigger diamiter axle tube at the splines.

400ex has 24 spline hub
250r has 25 spline hub
the 250r hubs are 1 inch narrower
tb if you need r hubs pm jc623 -he has a set i tried using them to narrow up my 400-but didnt fit tight on my 400 axle
