well the only diffrence that i see right away is the fact that the 400ex axle comes with a sprocket hub and the 450r dont. specs. though i dont know.

It will work, you will need a 250R collar, ans the sprockets won't line up perfectly, but it will work fine. I am runnin a 400ex axle on mine, and have many hours on it, with no problems or sprocket wear.

I bought a axle for my 450R from lonestar, and they DO come with a sprocket hub.

WELL WE WENT AHEAD AND TRIED THE+3 LSR AXCEL OUT OF THE 400EX INTO THE TRX450R AN IT WORK FINE ,EVERY THING LINED UP PERFECT,THANKS FOR THE HELP
