i think the speed comes with beadlock rears stock and hole shot tires, the moto is the widest ment for mx the cannibal is more of a trail tuned bike

Only the Blaze and Moto came with beadlocks.

Cannibale is the base model.
Speed gets you Tag X-5's Ohlins shocks, more aggressive mapping.
Blaze gets, Rear beadlocks, rolled edge fronts, Holeshot XC and XCR's, nerf bars, Tag T2's, front Ohlins with rezzy's, rear Ohlins, no slip seat, GNCC map and some other little goodies.
Moto gets everyting that Blaze has except MX tires, long travel +2 arms and shocks, +4 axle, MX mapping.

would a speed be good for roads & tight trails? what is the top speed like compared to a 400ex on one of these?

The cannibal, speed and blaze would all be good for roads and trails. They normaly top out around 75mph depending on which map you have.
