I have a 99 honda 416 ex that i just rebuilt with a je 10.8:1 high comp piston and a hot cam stage one in it, and i had it running for about 10-15 minutes and then shut it off and let it cool down and then about an hour or 2 later i started it back up and it started smokin...

smoking consistently or only for a while?

It was smokin constantly, but when i seen it i shut it off.. its wasnt running for more than a minute or two.

you could run it hard for a bit to see if the rings will seal but you might ruin your chances of being able to re-ring and re-hone it, especially if you broke a ring or 2 on break in. you might be further ahead tearing it all back down and inspecting everything real good, including valve seals and guides. did you use assembaly lube on the bore and ring grooves?
