If i am gonna put a 400ex carb on my 250x........

I am wondering if it is a good idea, will it wake it up? And what else wood i need to make it a good combo?

yes it would be good...you will mostly feel improved throttle response and maybe some low end...and for it to be good,you will need a 350x airboot...and a better exhaust...lol and a airfilter to top it off

Actually it is a bigger carb so you will have more top end. Some people like the mod some don't, depends on what riding you do. If you are looking for a cheap way to score some top end go for it. And yes the 350X air boot is a good thing to get. The stock air boot is next to impossible to get to fit right.
