I found these pieces in my driveway and im wondering if they came off of something on the 400EX?? they look like they broke off kindof?? anyone know????????

yes, but i dont know exactly what part of the bike! like somewhere on the seat maybe? around the airbox i believe

It's the airbox mounts that hang to the side of your frame and support the airbox...

Yup, that looks to be the two side supports for the airbox. Same things happened to me. I just strengthed the rear one with aluminum, so now the rear mount is strong enough to hold the whole airbox.

Make sure you support the airbox underneath with those broken off. It puts alot of downward strain on the intake and the carb may pull out.
You can even run some zipties underneath and up to the frame rails.
