I had my first hare scramble this past weekend. I managed to take 4th out of about 20 riders in C class D-14 and 27 OA. Other atv's included a C-dale blaze, gas gas 300, yamaha and honda 450's, warriors, raptors, banshees, just about anything, with the exception of a blaster and my friend's 300ex that was te smallest atv there. I placed ahead of about 3 or 4 vet and B class racers. Finishing ahead of me were a gas gas 300(1) about 3 mins, yfz450(2) 6 secs, and honda 450r(3) 3 secs. My start wasn't the best, maybe last 1/4 of the field. Can't expect too much against the bigger bikes. I managed to clear the table tops in the MX section but kept coming up short on the big step ups.

Here's a few pics:

Don't you know your supposed to start out small with the first race. ;) Sound like fun we did the Maxxis 6 hr race and i had a blast.

I know what you mean about being nervous, Racing the xc stuff is a little less nerveracking for me you get me on an mx track and I either feel like passing out or throwing up.:(

Good luck with the race :)

Funny thing about the 300, The picture where I'm landing on the downslope I overshot and flat landed it on the last lap I heard some guy yell Holy **** that's a 300. Made landing flat worth it.:D

That sure proves in XC racing, the little 300ex kept up and beat most of the big thumpers ;) .

Congrats on your finish!
