I was going through websites and remembers I had put up pics of our Chevy Nova drag car we had a few years ago . It was a full drag car and had about 30Gs invested ... Wish my old man wouldn't have sold it but we needed the money for the new project ... 69 Cuda 340 Fastback . I'll try and get pics of the Cuda up as soon as the new Cragar and BF Goodrich tires are mounted up . Till then ... heres the Nova http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/9/web/213000-213999/213578_1.jpg

It was a 454 with a bit of work done to it . It would lift the wheels about a foot off the ground right through the 60 foot .

i bet it has a chevy big block in it....i love v8's and i cant get enuff of them....jus the torque, power, every thing....i esp like them 1's where u can put a 100 dollar bill on the dash and wont be able to get it from bein pinned in the seat

I Loved doing the $100 bill test . This car would litteraly push you back into the seat hard . It was truely a work of art . We had over 10Gs invested into the rear suspension alone . Each of those rear tires were 500 a piece. Part I loved the most was the 5 point harness . Was a good feeling strapping yourself in cuz you knew there was one hell of a ride awaiting you . First time I tried buckling one of those things up was a task more than anything else . They can get really complicated when you don't know what you're doing .

u kno u got something when u cant grab a 100 dollar bill off the dash while the driver is banging gears....i dont kno why many of ppl waste their time and money hooking up 4-bangers...they will never equal up to a v8....ive rode in eclipses, honda's, caviler(domestic rice), focus, just about any kinda 4 banger or import there is....and none of them has had the power to slam me in the seat like a v8 has....

i like my v8's all throttle and no bottle...and a huge *** blower stickin out the hood...thats nasty....

me and my stepdad want to build a 1970 chevelle ss and drop a 454 big block motor in it....the day we get it done...im taking it to the local cruise strip on a friday nite when all the 4 bangers are out cruising and while they are sitting there reving their ricers...imma give that v8 a few blips of the throttle...just to piss um off

i also love the sound of a high lift cam in a v8...the way it sits there and idols the entire car is shaking....its just a nasty sound/feeling/experience all together...LONG LIVE THE V8

We used to go to the local cruise nights and like you said all the 4 bangers were there . They'd all be revving their engines trying to sound mean and stuff . We'd pull in with the Nova , which had straight pipes ( lucky we never got caught by the cops) and one blip of the throttle would drown out about 20 of the ricers . The car sure would turn alot of heads . I seen the car last summer and the guy that bought it off of us really le it go downhill. I wouldn't have even offered him 2 Gs for it . When we sold it , it was worth well over 30Gs .

Chevelles are a nice choice of cars . Ive always loved the styling on them and with a 454 they really turn heads . I got a Chevy 400 small block punched to a 408 sitting in the garage waiting for a body , I'm not sure what the next project is gunna be , but I can tell you the car is gunna be a real sleeper . The 400 small block is pushing close to 500 HP :D .... Decisions as to what kind of car to put it in . Any suggestions??
