got smoked by a stock 400ex!!!

I went and rode with my brother the other day at a spillway and they had about a 150 yard drag strip. See my signature at the bottom to see what i have done to my 400. this guy i raced claimed to have been racing mottocross for 12 years. I figured that a stock 400ex and mine. i should win easy right? wrong i got beat by about 2 bike lengths and was not catching up. this guy could ride. there were two guys on the new 450r s that woudld barely beat him. So all you people that think if you have more stuff done to your bike than the other guy you will beat him, thats wrong. thats what i thought to before i went there.lol then i got beat.

It all comes down to rider ability, period. That's why I have not made any motor mods yet:D

rider ability, tires sizes/weight, gearing, proper throttle cable adjustment, and jetting all make a pretty big difference. also, you never know what he actually had done to his bike

My 300 is all stock & I've beaten two 300's so far that had exhaust on them. The one kid actually got spanked by a stock blaster, he sucked at ridin thats all there was to it...

I kill my friends Z400 w/ a full yoshi system, and jet kit. My 400EX is all stock. I get him off the line, but it starts to lift in second so i let off and he gets me there, then its a consistent 2 bike lead for him.
