To anyone interested there is a reatively new club organized called the Pocono Mountain ATV club. We are actively persuing new riding areas in conjunction with the Pocono Mountain Vacation Bureau. The new laws are really going to take there toll on riding areas. The PMATV club is part of a state wide coalition that is working very hard to develop a state wide trail system. We need the help of the ATV riders across PA. Join a club, this is the only way to effect change. We are working very hard for all ATV riders but we need your help. JOIN JOIN JOIN We have many trips planned for this year and make it easy for the MEMBERS!! to attend. We can do alot of good things, but we need your help. JOIN JOIN JOIN, are you getting the picture yet. You need not attend every meeting but you do have to be accounted for. You need to be informed You need to be heard, You need to join a club. Imagine someday being able to ride from Scranton to Erie it is not impossible as long as the local clubs have your support. The Pocono Mountain ATV club wants to be your voice we want to help everyone enjoy the ATV sport without the fear or arrest. We also want to help the Landowner protect what is theirs. Most landowners are willing to leave people access their property when they are asked. But it really pisses them off when people think that just because they purchased a Quad and a registation they can ride were ever they want. The clubs can go to these landowners and obtain Permmision. The proposal that we, the PAATVCC are currently working on would give the landowners ten cents per foot for any trail crossing their property and release them from liability. This is the major reason most landowners close their land to ATV,s they dont want to be sued. ( would you ) Join a club, stand up and be counted.
