Question about running no end cap??

I have an Alba PIpe....and im running no end cap....the guy from honda said that it will scorch the valves if i leave it like that...IS this true?????

no it doesn't scorch or burn your valves :rolleyes:



but it does sound like poop and it's redneckish and completly uneccessary cause it does absolutly nothing whatsoever so whats the point of even doin it so put it back on and be cool again

the only reason y i leave it open is because it sounds really nice....aren't u suppose to have back pressure......what if it doesn't have none...what are the effects?????

no backpressure equals no torque, and no it doesn't sound really cool maybe to you for some reason but everybody the sees you go riding by looks at you and does this :rolleyes:

for some reason i still run no end cap....and i still get torque if other ppl say i do...r u sure it doesn't hurt anything

cause it won't help your valves any . In the long long run it might damage them a little but not much. The guy at the dealers coudn't tell you to do it cause if something does happen ( an it won't ) you coudl put the blame on them and make them pay for it. It's just that he is protecting himself.

440ex...i have the end cap on now...but it stuck on ther it wunt come off..u think i should just got the pipe mayb 3 inches...to get more low end power

that is really up to you. if you like the look and don't mine the extra noise it's going to make.
I think that if you cut it it would give you more top end since you have less back pressure but I could be wrong.

no, your not goin to feel any difference an your not goin to have to rejet, if your doin it for the power gain it's a waste of your time so don't even bother anybody that says they felt a difference is was all in there head

Another genius from NJ with loud exhaust ... and you wonder why we have no good spots to ride at legally. Chatsworth is a joke so dont count that. Been reading the newspaper lately? this state hates us and loud exhaust does nothing but draw negative attention. just remember Loud pipes close riding areas, less sound equals more gournd.
