Looks good fiddy! Do you recommend the sparks cam or should we wait for other cams to come out? I think my sparks sticker added more power than my 02 crf cam. I'm going to do my shocks like that this week, looks like it made a big difference.

I love my cam choice, bottom end, and midrange with an improved top end. That is all ya can ask for, Useable power!

Thanks for the info! BTW how much do you weigh and how much did you adjust the compression and rebound? Thanks.

I'm 6ft and weigh about 235 with gear on. I have not touched the compression or rebound yet. It does land a little harder now with the pre-load backed off, but I'm not bottoming out. I'm clearing a 45ft table.
My weather right now sucks, and I need to dial it in, but it's too muddy to get any good traction. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be tweaking!

I just adjusted my shocks about 3 hrs ago it made a huge difference, but I didn't get to hit any jumps so I'll have to do more adjusting late. But for the riding that I did get in it cornered like no other. Thanks.

Do the suspension changes affect traction at all?

With a lower center of Gravity you should get more traction.

It does good on the track I thing you'll like it. You might want to loosen your preload and mess with the compression though corners great now!

Are the rims offset? So the preload is the threaded part on the upper shock right? When i first got my bike I Raised it, which lowered the bike, i think?

raising the preload makes the bike sit lower at the suspension softer. Go down for more travel and to make it stiffer.

Yes those rims are off set in the front, they make it a total of 2 inches wider over stock.
Hey Lukester, you got Klaws on the front and Holeshots on the back, how you like that setup?

lukester720
04-06-2004, 07:24 PM
Yea, when I bought the front claws they didn't have the rears in so I got the mxr's. So as you can see I didn't really plan this setup but it works great. The mxr's are the best rear tires I've ever owned.

I like holeshots too, but I have one complaint, they wear too fast. That is why I go with the Razr mx'ers.

Very true, I don't think these will last too long they're super soft. They seem to hook up in all conditions though.
