all ya gotta do is grind out your srock case saver a little bit, and it will, get ready for some killer top end!!!

and look for some really slow acceleration

acceleration isn't that bad, if your running the right tires

it's great for high speed trails and doesn't hurt acceleration too much.

I have a Pro Design case saver and a 16t front sprocket, I didn't have to shave my case saver.

Yeah, and my Pro Design is much bigger than the stock one.

yeah I had 16 tooth/36 rear/20in rears, with my 416 kit for the ice races this last winter. It did great, I really could notice a pretty big diffrence with the 16 tooth, if you do get a 16 tooth but you still ride trails I'd recommend getting a 39 rear with it.-darren

I also had a pro design case saver that had no problems with the 16 tooth. worked out a bit tight but the chain wasn't touching the case saver or anything.-darren

You wont loose any at all you will kill a 400ex running a 15 tooth front.

I run a 16-38 it works great even in the tight stuff.

I was thinking of going to a 16-39 gearing I have the 440 kit ported head, cam, valves, edelbrock, cdi, sparks pipe, 20 in rear tires. I currently am running 15-39 but tops out to quick. It has killer low end and right now I can lift the front end in fifth gear. Does anyone run 16-39 with similar motor setup and still have the power to lift in any gear and have more top end??? I can ride around in fifth gear and just cruise at pretty low speeds and when I open it up it tops out way to fast and the motor is revving pretty good.
