what is the difference between standard and long travel a-arms? And which is better for mx.

long travel means the use of a longer shock, which helps you dial in your shock better for diferent terrains.

LT a-arms use 18 3/4" or 19 1/4" shocks.. i think houser makes a set of a-arms that use standard length shocks but claim to have Long Travel ball joints that wont bind.. a T-pin front-end is the only true no-bind setup... anyway i you have the cash go with a LT front-end, otherwise a standard travel shock with +2 a-arms is a great set-up also...

LT is the best...only go standard if you're on a budjet

if u get standard, go with +3's with a 4:1 offset, best setup for standard arms.

personally even if i had the money, i wouldnt get LT, im not good enough to say that if my shocks were valved that much better id be a faster rider. i just dont need it. i can find other places to spend money at that i could actually benefit from
