if anyone has a 250r +4 axle i need a measurement off of it. measure from outside of spacers on one side to outside of spacers on the other side... basicaly measure from where the hub touches the axle to where the hub touches the axle on the other side...

if i could get someone to do this and then name the axle brand, it would be greatly appreciated...

p.s. i am trying to use 250r hipers/axle on a 400ex and obtain a 50" width

about any +4 axle should put you real close to 50 inches my 400 with stock axle and hipers is at 45 so you should be right at 49 or 50 with any +4 axle hope this helps

i have a +4 LSR 400ex axle and 8x8 hipers with intergrated hubs, and it sets at 47"

i have come to find out that a 250r +4 axle is actualy a total of 2"-3" wider than a 400ex +4 axle... it has to do with the design of the hubs and how the 400ex hubs protrude out and the 250r hubs are flat so the aftermarket R axles are wider than aftermarket ex axles... now i just need to get measurements off a 250r to make sure that a LSR or RPM 250r axle is the correct length for what i want to do..

if it helps, my 250r has a lsr axle with the spacers inside the hub w/ itp rims and it is 49" the rims are 8 x 9 and 4 and 5 offset. I'm using stock hubs.

I guess I dont see what you mean....They equal out to the same because the R hubs are flat, and the EX go out, but you can't use EX rear hubs on the R axle...so it doesnt matter.

ok, Hiper 400ex Intergrated hubs are just like 250r Hiper Intergrated hubs (other than splines).. since the 250r has flat hubs then i guess the axle is wider to compensate for flat hubs... therefore a 400ex axle is narrower because the stock hubs protrude giving more width...

Now, hiper wheels with the intergrated hub were designed from 250r hubs. if you use hipers and a 250r +4 axle you will be around 49"... the max width you will ever obtain with a 400ex +4 axle and Hiper wheels is 46"-47"... i guess i am answering my own question... since i have a 400ex rear end, then i have to use a 250r axle with my hipers to get to the desired 49"-50"

Ok, now I get it. Yes, the R axles are like 3 inches wider I think?
