Ive been noticing a knock in my 400 every now and then so today I decided to check the valves, they were loose, so I readjusted them and the knock was still there, So just to make sure I make them a little tighter, and the knock doesnt change. I talked to my mechanic and he said it might be a rod bearing going, but wouldnt that knock twice for every one compression stroke. But anyway I left it alone and came back tonight, started it up and it was silent, no knock, rode it around and got it warmed up and nothing. WTF?
