450R different colors????

hey guys its me again. i was wondering that are they making 2 different colors for the 450R? I went to one of my local honda shops and theirs had the red plastic. then i went to another local dealer and theirs was a CR type color plastic. is it just me and my imagination or what? thanks for the input guys.

i've noticed that to one looked like florescent orange and mines red red

Yeah the first one I saw looked like it was almost a dark pinkish color. But mine is the red color.

lol I just thought I was losing my mind. I swore the one I saw when I ordered mine was Bright oronge almost. Then mine was red.

Most likely it's the way the light is hitting them.

I have also noticed a shift in color from different quads.

Look at your quad in the evening when your washing it it looks like it is glowing bright red almost pinkish, then in the sun it looks fire engine red.
All 450R's from Honda are the same color.

they are all the same color. It is most likely the lighting that makes them look different.

I think its just the difference in the light that hits the bike but I could be wrong.
I was also thinking wouldn't be cool if honda made a trx450r next year with white plastics and red frame like the old 250r, I don't know if I will like the 450r yellow like some of the EX's.:cool:

That aint happening. Then that would be a blatent copy of the Yamaha and I don't think they would do that so close in model years together.

It was yamaha that copied honda with the red frame and white plastics, my 86 250R had that color combo and that was almost 20 years ago. I think it would be a good tribute to the first R.

they could have easily changed the color of hte plastic... add a lil bit more or a lil bit less of a certain pigment...

I think white plastic and a regualr red frame would be decent.

I kind of want blue plastic myself.

I know its not going to happen but I just think it would be a cool looking bike :cool: I think honda needs to give us more of a option in colors for the 450r and I hope is not just red or yellow.

Yeah I agree I would love to see honda come out with some wild colors for the 450R and other models as well. I think we should have a choice on what color our quads are. I would love to see a limited edition 450R with a fire engine red frame with black plastic with some killer looking graphics. just my 2 cents though.
