39 FCR question, please help

I bought a Keihin 39 FCR carb that was set up for a 400ex running on alcohol. I'm wanting to convert it back to gas and put it on my 440ex. My quad has port work, xr400 cam, full yoshi exhuast and K@N filter with no airbox lid.

Can anyone tell me what pilot jet, air screw setting, main jet and needle size and clip position to start with? I know I'll have to tweak the jetting little but I want to start out somewhere in the neighborhood.

Please, those with this set up help a brother out!

From what I have found most go with this or something close to this setup:

165 main
50-52 pilot
2 turns out on pilot screw
3rd or 4th clip on needle

BK or Taffy mod on accelorator pump...

Thanks for the info. What size needle do you run? And if it's stock, what is the stock size? What exactly are these accelarator pump modifications?

check this thread out. it tells you what the accelerator pump mod is. it discusses it in the last two pages i believe.
