I have a few questions,

1. If you put +2 a arms on your 400ex do you have to get aftermarket shocks, or can you use stock ones?

2. If you get a +2 axle do you have to get a new chain, or is the rear sprocket in the same position.

Thanks for your time and for looking at this.

You would not have to get new shocks, but you will want too. The stockers would be way to soft for +2's. Plus if your going with aftermarket a'arms you need some good shocks. NO you will not need a different chain for a different axle. The only thing it will move is your hubs out to make it wider.

When you put aftermarket +2 or +3' arms on stock shocks all that is happening is you are putting more leverage on the shock so effectively it will feel softer in the front. Lets just say that you had shocks set up for 200lbs on stock arms and you changed to +2's now your shocks may only be rated for 160lbs because of the added leverage on the shock. It won't hurt the shocks they will just be more "plush". ;)

spend the money on good shocks first and then worry about a arms
