Just wondering

Just wondering what the little hole is on the right side of my engine up top by what looks to be like where the cam is. It looks like a small bolt is missing or something or maybe im just being too cautious. if it is normal what is it and should u cover it up when washing it or what wouldnt water go in there if u sunk it or sprayed it with the pressure washer?????????????????

Isn't that the drain hole for the spark plug. Because the spark plug sits so deep, that's where the water would drain if you got some in there.

I have wondered this too,,,,, the spark plug idea makes sence. My buddies DRZ400 dirtbike has a very similar hole also, we have been tryingto figure it out,,,, Anyone know for sure?

Yup that is what it is. The drail for the spark plug hole in case there gets any water in it.
