On my stock exhaust I unscrewed the spark arrester off the end and it gave me some power. It also has a narlier sound, not quite aftermarket slipon bark, but much better than stock. One of the best things I ever did to my stock machine was free, Rejet, remove air box lid, and the spark arrester, oh and a 14tooth front gear.

I doubt you will notice any performance differences with just removing the spark arrestor. IMO it sounds pretty lame....Just get a slip-on;)

I agree with Hondarider2006,it actually sounds better with the spark arrestor in.If you want some performance and a better sound get an aftermarket exhaust.
