Tell me how to polish thing and post photos of polished things

i just get the piece i want to polish, and sand out all the big scratches, then i rub the hole thing over with a little brillo pad type thing, there green or brown untill it turns kinda brighter. then i use mothers polish and put it on a cloth (i use a washcloth) and rub it in small circles till it turns black, then wipe it off with a clean rag.

do you mean those dish washing pad things.
what about the side cases...what did you use to strip the paint off with....like the motor mounts what did you suse to strip paint off them......could i strip the paint off my side cases WITHOUT removing them from the bike.....i'd like to have polished cases but i don't want all the hassel of removing my cases..can i do it on the bike..?
