Does anyone know what I can reset my suspension for? I weigh about 210-215. My 300 bottoms out on most jumps where I get over 4 or 5 feet of air. And when I sit on it, the back compresses about 3 inches, and the front about an inch and a half. I know you click the bottom of the shock, but where is it set stock at, and how many clicks do you think i should go up? Any tips would be appreciated

Thanks :)

try setting the front all the way stiff and see what that does. Try uping the compression on the rear shock as well:confused:

How do I do this? Like, How many clicks in what direction. And do I need that special wrench? The rear needs it the worst.

Put it at highest setting. Spray a little wd40, air filter cleaner, a degeaser, or carb cleaner on it and it should lossen it up some. No you dont need a special wrench, just use some channel locks. ;)

Try getting a 400 or 450 :-) I feel sorry for that poor motor pulling yer fat ***** around. Seriously, I weight almost as much as you (205) and the 300's motor and chasis were not designed for big boys like us. THey are built for a 150lb 15 yr old kid.... I wouldn't dump money into the suspension. Sell it and save for a bigger quad..... Prob only a $800-$1000 difference between a good used 300EX and a 400EX...

I have no cash, or I would get a 400 or a 450. The 300 pulls me around just fine (for now). And honda says right in the manual that the max weight is 275. I just want to stiffen up the suspension, until I can get the money to get a new one. And I am 15. I just wanna know what it is set at stock pleze. The manual says 2 is standard, is this what it is set at?

I adjusted the front 2 up to 4. I wanna do the back up to 5, but i can't get my robogrips into there to adjust it. I took off the airbox, and that helped. Any tips? I thought about some wheel spacers on the front too. Is this a good Idea?

First jack the wuad up so the wheels are ff the ground and then I used a pipe wrench, becareful not to grip the shcok you sill scratch the paint. I went all the way up on mine when i first got my quad and I only weight 160. I now heve Works all the way round and they are much better.

I tried that, jacked it up, used a pipe wrench, but it is so stiff, I can't even get it to go up one notch. I sprayed some grease in there, and WD40 and it still won't adjust.

I finally got it. I had to spray a bunch more grease and WD40 on there, then rock it back and forth. Thanks for all the help.
