Pin it and lean as far as you can.

^^^ what he said. and sit as far up as you can so you get as much traction on your front tires and less traction on your rear so you can slide around it better. also try avoiding loose dirt. and look for ruts too sit your front tires in that way you wont drift off over the burm

It depends on what type of berm it is and whether you need to slide and cut it tight or rail it and stay wide, but here's the basic idea for berms, which also works for practically every type of corner.

1: Stay on the gas until you truly have to let off. Coasting into a corner is not only slow, but it makes the side want to lift if it's tacky and makes the front end push when it's slick.

2: Since you stayed on the gas as long as you could, when you get on the brakes, get on them hard, don't just drag them a bit. The traction available will determine exactly how much front and rear brake you can use. If you need to make a downshift, do it as soon as you hit the brakes. At this point you should already be starting to make the turn, so your weight should be forward and to the inside.

3: When you know you've slowed enough to make the corner and are headed in the direction you want to go, you should get on the gas hard in a smooth manner, don't just punch it wide-open as quickly as you can. If you're taking the corner really fast and try to just casually cruise out of it, you'll either push wide or roll it.

When it's all done correctly, you should be on the brakes hard entering the turn, then at the moment you think you're going to either roll it or push wide, you hit the gas and shoot forward out of the corner.

Might tap the front brakes, that will help the rear end break loose, and stay on the gas.

i usually run in to it as fast as i can and as soon as i get to it. i make sure to use both my brakes so i can get to a slower speed quicker. then i keep the clutch half pulled and the throttle half way and as soon as you seen you can dump the clutch and give it hell :P
