What is involved in changing the oil on a 300ex? What tools do I need and is there and tips or tricks to know when doing it?

It's a 2003 300ex if it matters

nope simple....under the engine you will find a single bolt.....unscrew that and the oil will come right out...helps a lil bit if you started it up and let it ran for a min to heat up the oil...and have soemthing to catch the oil in when you unscrew the bolt to

you should also change the oil filter on the side, it has like 3 or 5 screws i think

Do you think I should change both since its a new quad? Or is just changing the oil fine?

If the quad is brand new then you should change the filter also. You will most likely find metal shavings in the filter which is normal during break in. Good luck

yeah you should really change the filter every time. dosn't cost much either so it's worth it.
