Anyone removed there auto decompresion lobe from the cam???

Like an idiot I cranked the engine clockwise while adjusting valve clearance and broke the auto decompresion lobe on the cam. I have removed the decompression junk and reinstalled the cam without those parts, I am running just fine but I was curious if anyone had any insight as to the pro's and cons of doing this.

Don't worry about it! Most aftermarket cams don't use it.

if you take this out i think you should remove the plunger and spring in the head.

As long as you also removed the spring and plunger in the head you will be just fine. Really no need for it anyway with electric start.
