The Dunes open on Thursday April 1st. I and a few guys will be going on Friday April 2nd. Is any one else going? I hear the dunes are the best after the winter winds and before a lot of people ride on them.
Let me know if any one will be there.
I Will be there on a 450r, with a predator and a 400ex, driving a black chevy z71, stop and say hi if you see us.

I am thinking of going out to Silver Lake in Mi. Is it worth a 12 hour drive? Can you camp at the dunes? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

it's worth the drive if there are not any dunes near by. you cant camp on the dunes but there is a place near by. it's worth the trip for me but i only live about 2 hours south.:D

ATVX4, its well worth the trip. I had a 15 hour drive with a friend of mine last summer and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We were out there right before the 4th of July, and it was great.

what i was reffering to his the lack of test to test hill, when i had my warrior i put the paddles on backwars and went in reverse almost half way up the hill:eek2: I agree to a knewcomer to sand riding it would be big but i've ridding there so much all it is, is a speed bump, Glamis is where its at!:macho

We are thinking of going out in early May. It ought to be warmer then. Are paddles recomended? Been riding almost 20 years, but never in sand. I feel like a newbie! LOL Also, can you guys recomend a close, clean camp area. I'm dreading the 12 hour drive! Thanks

There's State camp grounds around silver lake you shouldn't have any problem getting into them unless you go on a holiday weekend then its alittle harder to get into

what about paddles , I only have stock tires (so far) I know that paddles would be best in the sand but can you move with the stock ones?

Stock tires work ok, but your not going to win any races with them. Its a lot of fun sliding around with them.
