"I built this quad for my senior
project in high school. I ride the Oregon
dunes a lot, and I wanted something that
would compete with the big bore four strokes
that are becoming more popular dune machines,
and Honda had announced that the 700xx was
going to be offered with independent rear
suspension. I thought that they should have
made it with a straight rear axle, so I
took matters into my own hands. I invested
over 100 logged hours on this project that
I was able to use for a grade, but I hadn't
finished it by the time my project was due.
The hours I had got me about halfway through
the build, but I continued throughout the
summer and finished it by August. This bike
has exceeded all of my expectations, and
I am continuing to make it better every
day. I could not have been as successful
without the help of this site, particularly
the hybrid section of the forum. Thank you
