open A class in the Missouri Harescramble Series in 03.

in the 12 Hours of ATV America race this year in the Pro
class.
Future
Goals:
To place in the top 10 Overall in the GNCC series and win
the Overall Championship in the Missouri Harescramble Series
Favorite
Racer & Why:
William Yokley because he is always in a good mood and he
is always smiling.
What
type of physical training do you do?
During the season, I run on the treadmill and work for my
dad. I also try to ride 3 days a week all year long.
Do
you race in a Local Series? If so, tells us about it?
Yes, I race in the Missouri Harescramble series. It is one
of the most competitive and fun state series.
How
often do you Practice & Where?
I try to practice about 3 days a week at my house, and sometimes
I ride at a local motorcycle track a few miles away.
Do
you practice with anyone?
Last year I practiced all year with Bryan Baker, and I would
like to thank him for helping me. This year, I mostly practiced
by myself.
Why
do you race in the GNCC Series?
We went to Texas because we thought it would be fun, and
I did better than we expected, so we just kept going.
What
are some of your highlights from this season?
Finishing the season in 2nd Place in the 4 Stroke A Class
and finishing 12th Overall at Florida and 15th Overall in
Indiana.
Which
race this season would you like to forget?
Millfield, OH because the race started out bad then kept
going down hill. I was lapped 2 or 3 times by my own class
before it was over.
What
were your favorite races this year & why?
Texas and Loretta's because they were rocky and hilly, but
I also like Powerline Park because it was fun.
What
were your worst races this year & why?
Raush Creek, The Penton, and The Mountaineer were my worst
races. I just felt like I wasn't able to ride the way I
can.
What
was the most important thing you learned this year?
It is just as important to have yourself mentally ready
for the race as being physically ready.
Are
there any locations you wish were added or removed from
the GNCC Series?
I am happy the Florida Race was moved, hopefully it will
not be as swampy, and of course, I would like more races
close to Missouri.
Any
other changes you would like to see in the GNCC Series?
I think it is a good series, but I would like to see it
get more public recognition.
Which
class do you plan on racing in 2005?
We are not sure yet, but I would rather race for good Overall
finishes rather than class wins.
What
are your winter plans?
I plan on getting my 4-wheelers ready and getting in shape
for Texas.
Are
you excited about heading back to Texas next year?
Yes, I always love the first race of the season.
Do
you expect more factory involvement next season?
I hope so, and I think we deserve it.
How
many people do you have in your pit crew & names?
Normally 6 People, myself, Mike & Kathy Butler (dad
and mom), My brother Austin, and Bryan and Autumn Baker.
Would
you consider racing some GNC races if they weren’t
the same weekend most of the year?
Not really, I do not like to ride motocross much, but I
would like to watch.
Sponsors:
My dad and mom are my biggest and only sponsors this year.
But, Moose, Sidewinder, and Scott have already decided to
help me next year.
