| Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
Calibrated specifically for aggressive trail riding and racing, the Tri-Mode DPS system features three modes (MIN, MED and MAX) allowing riders to select the desired amount of steering assist for the terrain and conditions. DPS offers variable steering assistance no matter what mode is selected. A high-capacity 50-amp motor means the DPS will never fade with heavy use and all DPS-equipped models also come with the Visco-Lok QE.
Visco-Lok QE front differential
All DPS-equipped models come with the Visco-Lok QE calibration giving an even quicker engagement of the front differential. It progressively transfers power from a slipping front wheel to the gripping one – automatically with no buttons to push or levers to pull. Plus, there’s no wheel hop or driveline wind-up so the system is totally transparent to the driver and extremely easy to steer. Can lock up to 100 percent with no rev or speed limiter. This differential, unlike some competitor’s differentials, does not have a speed or rev limiter.
FOX Podium X suspension
Up front, the Renegade 800R X xc features FOX Podium X piggyback shocks with high- and low-speed compression adjustability, rebound and preload adjustment. Front travel is 9 inches (22.9 cm). The rear also features FOX Podium X piggyback shocks and high- and low-speed compression adjustment, rebound and preload adjustability. Rear suspension travel is 9.3 inches (23.6 cm).
12-inch (30.5 cm) aluminum beadlock wheels
Inspired by GNCC racing and feedback from racing research and develop, the X xc model’s cast-aluminum wheels include beadlocks. This design clamps the tire bead securely to the Renegade 800R X xc wheel for added performance under heavy acceleration and cornering.
