This machine features a new, class-leading, single-cylinder 38-hp, liquid-cooled Rotax 450 four-stroke engine, nestled in a similar G2 SST frame found on the larger-bore Can-Am Outlander 4x4 models. That is not all, the vehicle also includes an unprecedented, industry-leading, five-year extended warranty and numerous changes to make it the most affordable and value-packed CanAm Outlander ATV to date. A rear-mounted silencer, steel tubular racks, SACHS five-way preload adjustable shocks and Carlisle Trail Wolf tires on steel wheels are just a few changes. Power steering, alternate colors, larger magneto and cast-aluminum wheels are available on the CanAm Outlaner L 450 DPS model.

Rotax 450 four-stroke
A hearty, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled
Rotax 450 four-stroke offers unmatched power
and performance for its class, while remaining
both reliable and efficient. Along with
supplying an industry-leading power-to-weight
ratio, the 38-hp Rotax offers electronic
fuel injection to remain as efficient for
work and play. Regardless of temperature
or altitude, EFI ensures optimal performance
from the engine at all times. Progressive
throttle control means the power remains
manageable in slow-speed circumstances or
during quicker riding situations.
CVT transmission
The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
means you’re always in the correct
gear. For ease of use, you can count on
the integrated engine braking reduce speeds
when going downhill. Dual-room, no-tools
air box Like all models with the SST G2
design, the Outlander L 450 has a dual-room,
no-tools air box that is elevated and centralized
for unmatched efficiency. Its dual-room
setup works diligently to capture and trap
dirty air and then effectively transfer
clean air to the engine for optimal performance.
