2014 Yamaha Grizzly 700 Review

2014 Yamaha Grizzly 700 Review
::Continued::

The Yamaha Grizzly has great stopping power with hydraulic disc brakes on all four wheels, and we really like that you can control your front and rear brakes independently with the handlebar mounted levers because there are situations when you may only want to engage your front or rear brakes and this is possible with the Yamaha Grizzly.  The Grizzly also has the standard foot operated brake lever.

New Maxxis Tires were added on the 2014 Yamaha Grizzly 700
The 2014 Yamaha Grizzly 700 comes with new Maxxis tires, which worked great. We had no flats at all during our test ride and the tires provided good traction in the rocky soil. The Grizzly also has a new wheel design for 2014 with an inside curled edge.  Previously, the wheel edge was curled to the outside, and it would collect dirt and water, which made it difficult to keep your wheels clean, but the new design will prevent mud and water from being held and slung out gradually while riding.

The ergonomics of the Yamaha Grizzly 700 are very comfortable even on longer rides. We never felt tired or uncomfortable while out on our test ride. Additionally, we liked the instrument panel that includes a multifunction LCD screen with speedometer, odometer, dual trip meter, hour meter, 4WD indicator, transmission position, clock, and fuel indicator.

All models of the Grizzly come with rugged steel cargo racks that can handle 99 lbs. up front and 187 lbs. in the rear and the Yamaha Grizzly features a towing capacity of 1322 pounds. As always, Yamaha also has a wide selection of accessories with over 100 available for the Grizzly to customize it and make it your own.

Overall, we really like the improvements that Yamaha has made to the 2014 Grizzly 700 and are happy to see them keeping the Grizzly line current. We found this machine predictable, easy to handle and maneuverable. It is a durable and well-made utility ATV that has plenty of power and is comfortable to ride, which makes it perfect for either work or play.
