The cargo bed among many other items received improvements. The bed cargo latch is larger to be easier to operate while wearing thick gloves. There are also cup holders molded into the tailgate and 6 tie-down mounts. The bed is also large enough to hold a pallet and 1,000 lbs, which is pretty impressive.

The 2013 Polaris RANGER XP 900 features a full 10 gallon gas tank

The fuel fill is conveniently located on the same side on the driver’s side. The gas tank was also enlarged to hold a full 10 gallons, which is large enough to keep you on the trail all day.

There is no longer an extra pedal for lever you have to push down to engage the parking brake.The parking brake is now located on the gear shifter transmission, and is easy to engage - as we used it many times parking on the hills at the Bull Run Guest Ranch.

Large removable storage compartments are hidden under the seats

In addition to the in dash storage, there is also additional three large storage compartments located under the passenger seats. With the Industry's only 60/40 bench seat design, the driver can access the storage under the passenger seats while seated in the drivers seat.

Under the passenger seat center bin you can find all the electrical components including the ECU, fuse block, and a digital wrench port. This means that a technician can sit in the drivers seat with his laptop and troubleshoot the RANGER SxS comfortably.

The 2013 Polaris RANGER XP 900 SxS features an automotive style battery that has a large amount of cold cranking amps for aftermarket products.

All of the electrical components including the ECU & battery are easy to access under the seat storage compartments

The battery is charged by a 30% larger electrical system. Polaris designed the RANGER to be able to run multiple electrical accessories such as aftermarket lights, winch, etc with the stock battery.

New LED headlights are used on the 2013 Polaris RANGER XP 900

Polaris also redesigned the headlights on the RANGER XP 900 SxS.  The headlights are 25% brighter and project up to an additional 100 ft at night than on previous RANGER SxS models.

Overall, we were very impressed by the 2013 Polaris RANGER XP 900. Not only does it have great power, comfort, but it has the ability to add aftermarket products such as the Polaris Lock & Ride cab components, and is designed to be easy to work on.
