2011 Can-Am Commander 1000 XT SxS / UTV Test Ride Review

2011 CanAm Commander 1000 XT - Harold Goodman
The CanAm Commander 1000 XT features a tilt leather wrapped steering wheel that adds both style & comfort
The Can-Am Commander 1000XT is comfortable inside, even on longer rides. The dash readout is good and the high output headlights worked great. The Commander comes equipped with a tilt steering wheel that adjusts over 30 degrees without the need of tools and is a very nice option if there are other drivers.

With that said, another favorite feature of our test driver was the three different performance keys. “I like the idea of having three different power options, so you can limit the amount of power and performance for drivers of different driving ability and riding environment,” said Hill.

Four 60-watt projector headlights do a nice job of illuminating the trail for night riding, and we were really impressed at how well they worked

Overall we really like the Can-Am Commander 1000XT. It held up well during our test period and provided a solid platform for working, but it also allowed us to have a lot of fun. We really like everything about the Commander line and feel it is an exceptional machine that is well suited for both work and play

Can-Am offers a wide selection of aftermarket products and several different packages to fit just about any type of riding. We can only hope that Can-Am keeps pushing the bar when it comes to performance and ingenuity and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for future Commander SxS / UTV models.
