Doug Eichner Takes the Win and
the WORCS Pro ATV Championship

Monticello, UT - After eight rounds
of racing, Duncan Racing’s Doug Eichner was able
to secure yet another WORCS Pro National Championship
with one race remaining on the schedule after a hard
fault battle with Josh Frederick and Robbie Mitchell
at the Bull Hollow MX in Monticello, UT.
As of late, the WORCS Series racers have seen their
fair share of rain and muddy racing conditions, and
this weekend was no different with it raining almost
all day Thursday and Friday before clearing out for
Saturday’s racing action, but Saturday Night the
skies opened back up and it rained through the night,
which set the stage for a muddy mess on Sunday for the
Pro Main.
Robbie Mitchell grabbed the Holeshot through the mud,
but his lead wouldn’t last long as Mitchell, Eichner,
and Frederick swapped the lead back and forth for several
laps. The muddy and rocky conditions took its toll on
Frederick getting two flat tires, which gave Eichner
some breathing room to claim his fifth win of the season
followed by Robbie Mitchell and Josh Frederick. For
Mitchell it was only his second podium appearance of
the year, and the third place finish was enough to boost
him in points to 4th place ahead of Zach Herrera.
Justin Waters gained some breathing room over Dax Snow
in the Pro Am Class by claiming the win onboard his
2006 Yamaha YFZ450 with Nicolas De Le Grange and Paul
Wilkerson rounding out the Podium.
