Hurricane, UT (4/18/2016) – CST
/ Sparks / ELKA’s Beau Baron scores his fifth straight
WORCS Pro ATV Win at Sand Hollow and remains undefeated
in 2016. DWT / SSi Decals Collins Webster claimed
a career best second place finish, and Duncan Racing’s
Mike Sloan rounded out the WORCS Racing Podium.

The heavy winds that battered the area on Saturday
calmed slightly on Sunday, making for improved
racing conditions. The ATV race, scheduled for
a longer-than-usual one hour and 45 minutes, was
started in conjunction with the motorcycles, but
the courses split at the halfway point of the
track.

Mike Sloan quickly making the pass for the
lead |
CST’s Beau Baron got off to a sixth-place start
and quickly made his way through the field to
catch Sloan out front, but in the third lap, he
made the pass for the lead, which he held to the
checkered flag for his fifth straight win of the
season to extend his points lead.

CST's
Beau Baron took over the lead in lap three
& pulled the fastest laptime of the
race with a time of 9:49 |
“Sloan was flying out there, so once I got past
him I just tried my best to pull away,” said Baron.
“The CST tires were really good today. With the
Tire Blocks in there, they were unbeatable. There
were a lot of rock sections out there, and I don’t
have a flat so that says it all. The Sparks Motor
pulled all the way through. There is such a load
on these motors and we ran almost two hours out
there. It’s insane that anything will last that
long. Hat’s off to Elka and Roll Design. Doug’s
been doing my valving and we have it right where
we want it now. It made my day a lot easier to
be able to hit stuff and not fly off my bike.”

ELKA's
Beau Baron claimed his 5th straight win,
which is the most straight wins to kick
off a season since Josh Frederick won 4
straight to start the 2007 season. Baron
also holds the WORCS record of 7 straight
wins in 2013 |
DWT’s Collins Webster’s runner-up effort was
his best career WORCS Pro ATV finish. Webster
has been gaining every race, and he said his training
program is starting to pay dividends with his
first podium finish of the year.
