WORCS Racing ATV Race Report
::Continued::
H&M Motorsport’s David Haagsma pinched out
Robbie Mitchell and took the Pro ATV holeshot.
Haagsma was looking strong and fast as he kept
a blistering pace for most of the race, but that
pace came with a price. “I had the holeshot and
a great lead thanks to my Curtis Sparks engine.
I was out front for most of the race and I don’t
know what happened, but my hands got so blistered
and torn up, I could hardly hold on anymore and
I ended up slowing a bit. I still finished in
second so I am pretty happy with that,” said Haagsma.

Block's David Haagsma has lead more laps
than anyone in the 2015 WORCS Racing Pro
ATV class, but he is still chasing after
his first win of the WORCS season after
two second place finish |
LMR Racing’s Robbie Mitchell, who is known for
getting good starts, was bar to bar with David
Haagsma off the line, but got pinched out of the
holeshot in the first turn. Mitchell would eventually
drop back to third place, which he held to the
checkered flag for another podium finish. “That’s
two podium finishes in row. I’ve had two in a
row before, but not this early in the season so
this is really a big deal for me. They had the
bikes go first off the start and they said that
we probably wouldn’t catch up to them, but David
and I caught them in the first lap and they got
between us and caused me to lose some time out
there, but it was still a good race, and I made
the podium, so I am excited for that,” said Mitchell.

Racing's Robbie Mitchell has claimed a spot
on the podium for the second straight race
for his career best start to a WORCS racing
season |
Duncan Racing’s Garrin Fuller didn’t get the
start he was looking for and had to battle it
out with Josh Row for the first two laps. “Josh
and I were really battling and we caught up to
a bunch of bikes and I was able to get past and
pulled away a bit. My Duncan Racing engine was
running strong and my Elka shocks and Roll design
suspension was really great out there today. I’m
looking forward to the next round at Peoria because
they have a good MX track so it should be a good
race,” said Fuller, who claimed a fourth place
finish.

Racing's Garrin Fuller claimed the fourth
spot after battling early on with Josh Row |
This weekend couldn’t have been more challenging
for Josh Row after his father Greg suffered a
heart attack during SxS practice on Friday. Mr.
Row is expected to make a full recovery, but he
remained in the hospital during Sunday’s races.
Despite his thoughts being elsewhere, Josh Row
lined up for Sunday’s race. “It was kind of on
my mind the whole time, but I went out there and
just tried to do my best. I’m looking forward
to Peoria and I am hoping to turn things around
there,” said Josh Row, who rounded out the top
five.
