Beau Barron Wins WORCS Racing SxS Championship
Ryan Piplic & Tommy Scranton Round Out SxS Pro Production Podium
Primm, NV (10/14/2013) – The final round of 2013 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series presented by Motoworks and Dirt Wheels Magazine series was held at Buffalo Bills Casino in Primm, Nevada. Beau Baron overcame injury to claim the WORCS Racing SxS Pro Production championship. Cognito Racing’s Ryan Piplic raced to second place finish followed by Pro Armor’s Tommy Scranton to round out the Pro SxS podium in his Polaris RZR XP 1000, which made its WORCS podium debut.

WORCS racing combined all the SxS races for the season finale and 55 SxS racers took to the line for the 45 minute race. The course was rocky and rough with varying terrain. The racers completed five laps in the allotted time.

Only 13 points separated defending WORCS Racing SxS Pro Production Champion Ryan Piplic & Beau Baron & it would come down to the final race to decide the champion. Since the last round, Baron broke his collarbone but he still needed to finish 7th or better to secure the championship if Ryan Piplic would take the win |
Maxxis Tire’s Beau Baron knew he had to finish eighth or better to claim the championship, but in true racer style, Baron didn’t settle for the bare essentials. He rocketed off the line and claimed the holeshot with his Holz Racing / Maxxis Tire Polaris and never looked back from the lead. Baron secured the win by 51.169.

“I am pumped just to be able to race. I knew what I wanted to do, but I wasn’t sure if I could perform the way I wanted, but I was able to come out here and get it done,” regarded Baron who has a broken collar bone.

“The Polaris worked amazing, the Maxxis Tires, Sparks engine, Walker Evans suspension, everything was great. I am stoked to get this win and the championship. I couldn’t be happier,” said Baron on the WORCS Pro SxS Championship.
