Tammy Balser finishes an impressive 7th Overall in the Pro-Am Class
Round 4 proved to be an exciting one for the Women’s A class as 4 of them qualified for the Pro-Am main event on Sunday. Washington native Tammy Balser finished the Pro-Am class in an impressive 7th place while Angela Butler, who was holding 5th in the Pro-Am points race suffered a nasty crash in the 6th lap. Angela was coming through Pro row, when she hit a hay bail and was ejected onto the graveled road. Luckily, Angela only suffered minor injuries, but her crash did put her back to 7th in points. The # 894 bike of Amy Horst finished in 11th place while Julie Russell took 16th. Local Washington state racers dominated the Pro-Am podium, with Ron Heath in 1st, Andrew Lattimar in 2nd and Mike Kelley in 3rd.

#249 Mike Kelley held onto the 3rd spot to claim the final Podium spot in the Pro-Am Class on his Honda TRX 450R

The next round of the 2008 WORCS series will head to the milder climate of Hollister, CA, which is located approximately 50 miles SE of San Jose. The nationally recognized track consists of rolling hills in the upper GP section and thick trees in the lower part. The track is groomed and maintained year round and the mid-May date of the 16th-18th should bring good weather, so conditions should be pleasant for all skill levels.
