Yamaha's Romain Couprie
Wins European Quadcross Opener

- The European QuadCross season started
this weekend. The first round of the EuropeanChampionship
was held on the 2nd Eastern day on a wonderful circuit
in Oldebroek (The Netherlands). 42 Quads entered
for Saturdays qualification.
In the first race the top 10 riders were very
close in the first 18 minutes. At the end, theFrench
rider Romain Couprie (Yamaha) took the victory
in front of British rider PaulHolmes (Yamaha)
and on third place Belgium rider Davy de Cuyper
(KTM).
The second race was again very exciting. Belgium
rider Jan Vlaeymans (W-Tec) took the hole shot,
and was in the front the whole heat. For the second,
third and fourth place there was a big battle
between Belgian Davy Brems (W-Tec), Romain Couprie
and Paul Holmes. When the riders got the 1 lap
sign, there was only 5 seconds between the 3 first
riders, Jan Vlaeymans, Davy Brems and Paul Holmes,
but at the finish Jan Vlaeymans took the victory,Davy
Brems second, and third Romain Couprie.
Romain Couprie won the 3rd race, second position
went to Jan Vlaeymans, and third to Jason Macbeth

Next round will be held on the 18th of April
in Langrisch (Great Britain).
