ATV Racing Round 1 - Underground

Kemp, TX (3/28/12) - The first
round of the TQRA ATV Racing series was a great
success! We had a great turn out with lots of
new faces. Competitors filled the gates as we
began the 2012 season. Our first round was pushed
back a week due to rain moving in, but the following
weekend provided great weather for racing! We
had a light shower during Sundays races, but that
didn’t stop our racers from battling on
the track.

The Open B class was the class to watch this weekend.
This class is a very popular class and we had
twenty five racers on the line for the first round.
Kyle Waitschies rode a very impressive race and
was able to come home with the win for the weekend
aboard his Honda 450R ATV.
We have a new rider joining us for this season
named Brian Eichner from Crosby, TX who is making
his presence known in the A class taking both
moto wins for the weekend. Brian and Media Allstar
rider Pake Shinn battled all weekend long putting
in some very impressive rides.
Our Expert and Pro Am classes featured some
intense racing action with Johnny Hale battling
with Brent Sellars. Johnny has expressed that
he is going all out this year to win the TQRA
championship. He started the year off great
by winning the overall in the Expert class.
Sellars put in a solid ride in the Pro Am class
and came home with a victory as well. Can-Am
sponsored riders Cody and Hunter Miller where
absent from the races this weekend due to prior
obligations but they are ready to mix things
up in the Expert class for round 2 at Raw MX
March 31 – April 1.

Racing was the event sponsor for the first round
at Underground MX. JH Racing has been a long
time supporter of the TQRA series. JH raffled
off shock services at the round to help raise
funds for the end of year banquet. The TQRA
would like to thank JH Racing for continuing

and watching all the great racing! We are excited
