Geary,OK (6/28/11) - Hello
race fans, Round 6 of the TQRA, was held at
Oklahoma motorsports complex in Norman, Oklahoma.
This race turned out to be hot both on the track
and the temp as well. With 106 degrees and the
wind blowing at 20-30 miles per hour, the racers,
fans, and track crew had their hands full trying
to keep everyone and everything hydrated. Even
with the high temps there was a lot good racing
to watch all day long. In our first moto of
the pro-am class it was Chase Snapp, Johnny
Hale and Hunter Miller battling it out for first
place as usual. Chase quickly took the lead
for three laps till he had mechanical failure,
which left Hunter and Johnny to battle for first.
In the end Hunter prevailed.

Hunter
Miller was consistent in both Motos earning
him the top spot in the Pro/ Am ATV Class.
Miller also finished second the the Expert
ATV Class |
In moto two Chase came back and took no prisoners
he led the hole race and again Hunter and Johnny
battled for the overall where Hunter miller
came out on with first place overall.
In our Expert class we had the same battle
as our Pro-am class, Chase led both motos for
the overall and Hunter took second. Johnny suffers
some mechanical woes in the second moto which
gave him a forth overall. In our open B class
it showed to be a class to watch for the rest
of the season as Pake Shinn, Tyson Pendergrass,
Colton Cluck, Brad Carlson, and Ramsey Wallace
all had a battle going on in both motos. Pake
took the holeshot both motos and led the whole
race, at the days end Pake took the overall
with Tyson, Ramsey and Brad rounding out the
top four. Colton battled for three laps but
made few mistakes that cost him several positions
in moto one but came back in the second moto
for a third place.

Lane

Mod ATV Class were he went on to take
second overall |
Well we can not forget about out little guys,
Our Super mini class had a new rider ,Carson Parrish
that made his debut. He wasted no time in showing
everyone that he came to race. The battle for
first was on between him and Cody Ford, they both
showed the fans what racing is all about. In the
end Cody came out on top but he knows now that
will some tuff competition the rest of the season.
All in all the race weekend turned out to be
a great weekend for all even with the hot temps
and strong winds.
