Sunrise, Minnesota (9/13/2013) – The 2013 Terracross Championship Series season finale doubleheader was held at Haydays in Minnesota, and RJ Anderson wrapped up the SxS Pro Terracross Championship in the newly released Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS by claiming his third win of the season on Saturday.  Zac Zakowski secured the season finale win on Sunday after finishing second on Saturday making an exciting weekend of Terracross SxS racing.

Many were in attendance at Haydays for the season finale double header weekend of Terracross Championship ATV & SxS Racing

Former Pro Motocross racers, Dana Creech and Jason Luburgh were called into action to build the track, which turned out to provide for some exciting racing action.  The Terracross track for the SxS racing was very tight and technical, testing both driver and machine.

Dana Creech & Jason Luburgh did a great job of building the Terracross track for the weekend of racing. The track featured multiple lines, water jump, whoops & more

Full of many different obstacles like tight passing areas, water jumps and rough whoop sections, along with a step-up and tabletop jump, which provided a full range of challenges for the drivers.

Unlike any other Pro SxS racing series, Terracross Pro racers all race stock Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS, which levels the playing field. “Running these as stock machines make these guys all equal. It doesn’t matter who has more money or the best mechanic. It’s equal racing,” said Joe Duncan.

RJ Anderson grabbed the Holeshot in the opening round, and he held the lead from start to finish, but early on in the race, Anderson suffered a broken front axle shaft, so he was forced to race the rest of the race in two wheel drive, but he was still able to hold off  Zac Zakowski to secure the win.

RJ Anderson would clinch the 2013 Terracross SxS Championship by winning the main event in round 3 piloting the all-new Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS

“It was gnarly, this was my first time out here at Haydays. I was in the lead and broke a front axle on one of the landings. I felt it go and these things are so hard to drive in three-wheel drive. It just wanted to pull the wheel out of my hands. I ended up just switching into 2wd so I could just maintain going straight. I had to have a mistake free race and was able to get the win, it was awesome,” said Anderson.

On Sunday, RJ Anderson would hit a corner a little to fast and roll his Polaris RZR XP 1000 SxS. Although Anderson was not able to finish the race, with three wins he was still able to hold onto the 2013 Terracross Pro SxS Championship

Day two would turn out to be even more tough for Anderson as he pushed the Polaris RZR XP1000 a little too far and rolling it over early in the race and breaking a front ball joint, but with his three wins, Anderson was still able to hold onto the points lead for the Terracross Pro SxS championship.
