The four day weekend begins on a Thursday, with gates opening at 8am to welcome both returning and new attendees alike.  RVs are encouraged to park in advance, cutting down on traffic and allowing vehicles to flow in smoothly.  It's a great day to get settled in, start testing some of the trails, hills, and canyons, and to relax with friends.  The Back 40 mud pits open at noon

Thousands of spectators lined up at the bottom of the hill for the Red Necks with Paychecks Power Wheels Downhill race!

Friday brings the opening of the Big Boy's mud pit, as well as more RWP Side X Side Showdown qualifying opportunities.  The Redneck Power Wheels Downhill Race promises $500 to the person with the fastest time down the course.

Shawn Anthony took the RWP Power Wheels Down Hill Race win for the the second year in a row in his green dune racer with modified rubber replacement wheels

Racers must wear helmets to participate, and compete in sets of two at a time; always promising a glimpse of racers flying head over heels down the steep course, which attracts thousands of spectators around the base of the hill to catch the racing action.

The Rednecks with Paychecks Bounty Hole swallowed up man lifted Jeeps & trucks that competed for the $3,500 prize for fastest time across

The RWP Bounty Hole also opens on Friday - a long, narrow, and deep mud pit that guarantees $3500 to the fastest time across. No one has ever made it across the RWP Bounty Hole so bragging rights are up for grabs just as much as the cash!  Concerts start at 8pm and continue past midnight, ensuring plenty of fun for the whole evening.
