2012 Yamaha / Quad-X Racing Series Round #9 - Cahuilla Creek MX Anza, CA October 21, 2012

Anza, CA - (10/23/2012) – Cool temperatures and a long track set up an exciting day of racing at round nine of the Quad X series. The race took place at Cahuilla Creek MX and six pros lined up on the gate. For the seventh time this year H&M Motorsport / Maxxis Tire’s David Haagsma took the checkers. Jason Fife took second and Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson rounded out the podium.

David Haagsma increased his chance at a his first ever Quad-X Pro ATV Championship by going 1-1 for the day. Haasgma’s motos were flawless and the H&M rider was pleased with both of his rides.  In the first moto Haagsma grabbed the holeshot; he had to deal with teammate Beau Baron on his rear bumper, but never faltered and finished first.

“Moto one went really well. I just rode my race and kept the pace up. Beau (Baron) was right with me the entire time and it was really fun,” said Haagsma.
The second moto was just as smooth for Haagsma. He again got off the gate in first and held the lead until the end.

#422 David Haagsma has been consistent all season winning 7 out of 9 rounds so far in the 2012 Yamaha QuadX Racing Season. Haagsma sits only 3 points behind first place #94 Dustin Nelson in the Pro 450 Production Class with one round remaining
